TÜV Nord is one of the world's leading independent third-party certification bodies, recognized as an EU Notified Body and a benchmark in industrial safety. Its certifications are known for rigorous, full-lifecycle audits and zero-compromise standards.
SIL (Safety Integrity Level) certification represents the highest standard for industrial functional safety under IEC 61508, spanning four levels from SIL1 to SIL4. SIL3 is the highest level commonly required for high-risk industrial applications, corresponding to a dangerous failure probability as low as 0.01%–0.1%, and is a core entry requirement for Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) in petrochemical, power, and chemical industries.
